Morgan Simpson is a small McLaren Vale
wine producer located in the foothills of the South Mount
Lofty Ranges. Winemaker Richard Simpson (B.App. Science -
Wine Science, CSU) selects small parcels of fruit from the
families' Clos Robert vineyard (first planted by
Robert Allen Simpson in 1972).

Wine and Beer Show) followed by the start of a commercial
operation in 1998 with our only wine, a Cabernet Sauvignon,
winning a Gold medal at the McLaren Vale wine show.

winemaking equipment and batch process methods (basket press, small open fermenters,
hand plunge). We combine this with, as far as economically
practicable, modern analytical techniques. We are currently
crushing about 20 tonnes (Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz,
Mataro, Semillon and Chardonnay).
We have done consistently well in wine
shows around Australia.
Currently our wine is available
through mail order and a number of retail outlets.
We sometimes make wine with high
